St. Helena Unified School District

District Committees

The District has the following Superintendent's Sub-Committees, which meet on a regular basis.  Listed below is a brief description of each of the current committees.  Please contact Erica Madrigal at emadrigal@sthelenaunified.org for more information on how to join a committee.

Business Operations Committee

The Business Operations Committee reviews and provides input on the District’s budget while also receiving updates on changes in federal and state legislation that affect TK-12 education. Additionally, the committee offers recommendations regarding planned and proposed projects, including special facilities requests from school sites. The committee meets quarterly and consists of representatives from the Parent-Teacher Groups (PTGs) and the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation (SHPSF).

Local Control Accountability Plan Steering Committee

The LCAP Steering Committee meets regularly to offer guidance and recommendations for the ongoing improvement of the LCAP. The committee prioritizes student, staff, and community engagement, as well as student achievement. It is responsible for identifying various methods of outreach to collect input and perspectives related to our continuous improvement efforts.

Student Experience Committee

The Student Experience Committee convenes to promote ongoing progress in equity, school climate, and enhancements that benefit our student body. The committee is dedicated to addressing how students access opportunities for success, engage in campus culture, and feel a sense of connection at school. Additionally, the committee establishes and monitors district-wide wellness goals for both students and staff each year. These goals are presented to the Board and the public in an “Annual Progress Report” every June.
