Welcome!

I am honored to serve the St. Helena Unified School District as Superintendent. Each day, I support our exceptional teachers and support staff as they ensure our students can thrive! I am also blessed to work alongside the SHUSD Governing Board who recently finalized our goals for 2026 – 2027. I encourage you to review them below, as they serve as the foundation for our decisions, allocation of resources, and more.

After 35 years in public education, I am a staunch advocate for academic excellence and strive to ensure each classroom and campus is a place I would enroll my own children and grandchildren. St. Helena Unified School District is known for such excellence, and I remain so impressed with what occurs each day in our schools. The high quality of instruction, positive climate, levels of care, and tireless efforts are just a few of the impressive qualities that ensure each of our 1,100+ students have an extraordinary school experience.

I continue to place a high priority on visiting schools, observing in classrooms, attending events, and meeting with partners. I encourage you to connect with us through our newsletters and videos, “Java with Jodi” opportunities, and many school-wide and district events. I also encourage you to participate in various committee meetings. We are fortunate to have dedicated partners and always welcome your involvement.
