Student OneCard

What is the Student OneCard Program?

Through a unique partnership with all Napa County Public Libraries, SHUSD Library Services is able to provide students access to public library resources using their student ID number.

  • The Student OneCard program is 100% FREE!
  • All SHUSD students’ IDs serve as a Napa County Public Library card
  • Students have full access to Napa County Public Libraries’ resources
  • Students are automatically enrolled in the program unless a parent chooses to opt-out of this service.
  • Service to new students is activated at the beginning of each school year after a brief period to allow parents to opt-out if desired (usually by the first of October).
  • Continuing students retain access year-to year until they graduate or leave SHUSD.
  • Parents may opt out of this service by contacting the school office.

The Student OneCard Program allows SHUSD students to…

Note: Parents are responsible for their children’s use of library resources.

How to Use the OneCard to access Napa County Library Resources

  • When prompted for your library card number, use the prefix "SHUSD" in front of the last four-digits of your student ID number (e.g., SHUSD1234).

Opt-out Option

Participation gives students access to valuable library resources both in person and online. Unless you opt-out before October 16, 2026, your child will automatically be enrolled in the Student One Card Program with the Napa County Library. Click this link to fill out the opt-out form.

If you decide to opt-out after October 16, 2026, you will need to contact the Napa County Library so they can deactivate your student’s card. If your child has accrued overdue fines or fees prior to deactivation, you will still be responsible for those charges. Any fines or fees must be resolved directly with the Napa County Library. SHUSD is not able to take payments on behalf of Napa County Library.
